Fantasia Latina's Artistic Director
Born in Chile. Arrived to Australia in 1986 and has been a Perth resident since 2002.
Before arriving to Perth, he lived in New South Wales where he directed the “Arauco” Chilean Dancing Group, for which his greatest achievement was to have the group present his work at the Sydney Opera House.
Miguel Angel has worked in different scenarios presenting the National Chilean Dance “La Cueca”. He has had the opportunity to work for the Darwin Theatre Company as Dance Director for the Production of “DIABLOS”.
Miguel Angel has been a dancer since his early youth in Chile, where he progressed in skills until he ultimately became the principal dancer in the “Ballet Folklorico de La Universidad Tecnica del Estado de Chile”.
He has also taken Modern dance, Jazz and Classical dance classes with different companies in Chile. He and Bianca Liberona, one of Fantasia Latina's dancers, hold the Australian National Championship of Cueca.
Miguel Angel has a B. App. Sc. In Leisure and Health degree from the University of Sydney, and is a specialist in Personal Development. He currently works in Mental Health.
